The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripley scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Bradford Manning has been cut.
A right-left combo lands from Ripley.
Ripley avoids the body shot from Manning.
Manning throws a head kick but Ripley moves out of range.
No luck for Manning with that takedown attempt.

Manning tries to keep at a distance but Ripley has taken the fight into the clinch.

Ripley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ripley looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Manning is working an open guard so Ripley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Ripley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ripley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Manning swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rasputin is defended easily by Slob.
Slob fails with the takedown

and Rasputin counters with a crisp one two that drops Slob! Rasputin thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Slob to his feet! Slob is in big trouble!
Biggie Slob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slob tries for a takedown but Rasputin circles away easily
and Rasputin counters with a low kick, right behind Slob 's knee.
Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Biggie Slob.
Slob get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Slob stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Rasputin runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grimnir shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Masterson takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Grimnir sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Masterson bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Palhares is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Cranzinski rather than just go for the knockout.

Palhares darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Cranzinski's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Palhares before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
