Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Junior Avalon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shael Connen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avalon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eye of the Tiger. Connen has chosen Rock You Like a Hurricane as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connen moves in looking to clinch but Avalon pushes him off.
Connen looks for a takedown but Avalon sprawls well.
Avalon looks to land a left hand but Connen moved out of range nicely.
Avalon fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Avalon misses with a body shot.
Connen dives in and grabs Avalon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Avalon pushes down on Connen's head and hops out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Connen is defended easily by Avalon.
Junior Avalon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shael Connen.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Callum Tweedie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Private Pile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tweedie's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Snow Patrol - Chocolate. Pile comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jelly Doughnut kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Private Pile told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tweedie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pile was well out of range. Poor timing from Tweedie.

Tweedie drops Pile with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pile looks back up at him and smiles so Tweedie waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Private Pile has been cut.
Tweedie fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Pile out cold! Brutal finish!

Kalashnikov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
