10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ricky Smith! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Joseph Jones.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lakanik throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range. Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lakanik. Smith throws a hook but Lakanik blocks it. Smith throws a nice looking combination but Lakanik bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lakanik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smith feints a jab promting Lakanik to slip. Smith then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lakanik slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
 It looks like John Lakanik has been cut. Lakanik lands a body shot.
Smith keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lakanik. John Lakanik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smith takes a kick to the side of the head. Smith throws a nice head kick!

Smith has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Lakanik smells blood and charges in for the finish! Lakanik unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Smith sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

McDougle darts in and clinches Kikyerass up against the cage. Kikyerass has had enough of the clinch but McDougle keeps him there for the moment. McDougle has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kikyerass lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Reese shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Reese missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Reese thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Reese working over Johnson with some ground and pound. Johnson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reese is keen to just control but Johnson is a slippery customer. Johnson is controlling Reese's trapped leg to prevent Reese from advancing to side control. Johnson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Johnson is looking to control Reese's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Johnson avoid being mounted? Reese throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely.

Osiris lands a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kane is looking to break free of the clinch but Osiris has double underhooks.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Osiris wants to sweep here but Kane controlling him for the moment. Kane passes into half guard.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skrilla throws a right and a left that both miss. Billet circles away from the clinch attempt.
Skrilla scores with a decent looking hook. Skrilla moves out of range of the strikes. Skrilla tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Billet tries to clinch up. A bone on bone clash there as Skrilla blocks the leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Billet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Billet, as that shot connected.

and Skrilla counters with a big head kick but Billet shrugs it off. A nice leg kick lands there from Billet. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Belin Billet will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Billet crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Skrilla - the referee stops the clock and Billet gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Skrilla. Billet manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Skrilla ducks under a wild hook from Billet. Skrilla throws a right hand that Billet ducks under and follows up with a left that Billet also avoids with ease. Billet moves out of range of the body kick from Skrilla.

Skrilla is looking to land body kicks. Billet throws a right and a left that both miss. Skrilla will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
