The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Latrell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jones throws a series of strikes that have Latrell backpedaling.

Jones fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Latrell to the ground. Jones is now in Latrell's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Desantis dodges the punch combination from Liddell.
Liddell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Desantis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
