The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hussein lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Piotr Karpinov has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hussein darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Karpinov throws a sloppy head kick and Hussein moves out of range easily.
No luck for Karpinov with that takedown attempt.
Hussein goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Anka has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ya Xu finds it's way round the side to connect with Anka's head.
Anka looks for a takedown but Ya Xu sprawls well.
Ya Xu stuffs the takedown attempt from Anka. Anka gets slowly back to his feet.
Anka takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Ya Xu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Anka at a distance.
