The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#TD2# Dennison closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Blackwater's guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dennison working his ground and pound in the gym. #R1# Gomes shoots in for a double leg but Alvarez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Gomes takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Gomes misses with a hook. Alvarez ducked under it nicely. Alvarez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alvarez wants it to stay on the feet. Gomes takes one on the button. Alvarez jabs at Gomes's body. Gomes on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Gomes fails with the takedown and Alvarez counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronaldo Gomes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gomes swings widly with a right hand
and Alvarez counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gomes looks to throw the jab but Alvarez is out of range. Alvarez appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Biden will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Blackwater feints the counter takedown. White throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Brewer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but White manages to avoid it. White takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
White takes a body punch but keeps moving. Brewer thows a left - swing and a miss! Brewer dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Brewer connects with the punch. and Brewer makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. White really felt that one! White is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Brewer avoids the body shot from White.
White has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Brewer finds it's way round the side to connect with White's head. Brewer jabs White right on the nose. White blinks but takes it well. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Brewer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Brewer has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Brewer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as White throws out the jab. A slow jab from White misses its intended target. Brewer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. White misses with an uppercut. White takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. White throws a looping overhand right but Brewer ducks down to avoid it. #T4# Brewer lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A swing and a miss from White. Brewer moves out of range of the strikes. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Brewer! But no joy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brewer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. White uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brewer. White was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. White fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brewer manages to avoid it. White throws a series of strikes that have Brewer backpedaling.

And that's the end of the fight! Leroy Brewer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Brewer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
