Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tran walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Tran limp body while Gutierrez jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). August Gutierrez!

Lakeside gets tackled into the cage by Ortiz. Ortiz maintains the clinch.

Lakeside jumps guard and drags Ortiz to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lakeside has Ortiz pulled in close to control his posture.
Ortiz wants to get up but he can't break Lakeside's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Ortiz is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Lakeside manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ortiz manages to get himself to full guard. #REVR#
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lakeside is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ortiz is looking to stand up but Lakeside isn't so interested in that idea. #T1#

Frye throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Frye rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abuladze moves out of range and avoids them all easily.#TD2#
A momentary lapse in concentration from Frye enables Abuladze to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Frye manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Abuladze throws a big right hand that misses.
Abuladze is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Abuladze slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Let's hope that Abuladze has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Abuladze is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Frye is trying to escape and Abuladze transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Frye is forced to tap! Nice work there by Abuladze! Very nice indeed!
