Holloway stalling in the clinch but Axel improves position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#BC2# Axel breaks from the clinch.
Axel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Holloway is fending him off so far but Axel persists. Nope, Holloway circles away and we're back to standing. Axel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Holloway manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#TD2# Axel gets a double leg takedown into Holloway's guard. Holloway is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#T1##SUB# Holloway has his foot on Axel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Axel works his way back into a safe position though. Axel throws a big right hand that misses. Axel passes Holloway's left leg - he's now in half guard. Axel moves into full mount! Holloway won't be happy about that! You get the feeling that Holloway really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Holloway knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Axel on the ground. Holloway tries to improve his position but instead Axel has taken his back! Holloway is looking for a way out. Holloway just trying to survive but Axel is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Axel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Holloway is trying to get back to his feet but Axel has full control of the position and if anything, Holloway has just worked his way into a worse spot. Axel tries to get the hooks in deep but Holloway pushed the leg off. Axel missing with strikes. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

#R1##TD# Du Plessis feints and as Benson raises his hands in defense, Du Plessis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Du Plessis controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Du Plessis wants to pass the guard but Benson is keeping the position. Du Plessis controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Du Plessis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Du Plessis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Du Plessis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Benson's head. Du Plessis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Du Plessis is looking to stand up but Benson won't let him. #T1# Du Plessis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Benson looks winded! Du Plessis lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Du Plessis's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Du Plessis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Du Plessis advances to half guard. Du Plessis is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Benson! Du Plessis looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wash keeping moving, preventing Nurmagomedov from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nurmagomedov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wash trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Wash looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nurmagomedov is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Wash has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nurmagomedov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. #SUB2# Wash working for a triangle but Nurmagomedov defends it easily.

Wash throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nurmagomedov's waist but Nurmagomedov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wash off to one side. Wash shoots in for a takedown but Nurmagomedov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wash tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nurmagomedov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wash somewhat. Wash being controlled for a moment. Wash has one of Nurmagomedov's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Nurmagomedov looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Wash is avoiding damage well.
#T4# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wash struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wash is pushing Nurmagomedov's head away, looking to escape. Nurmagomedov manages to hold on to the position though. Nurmagomedov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wash some visible discomfort.
Wash avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Nurmagomedov. Nurmagomedov tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Nurmagomedov winds up and cracks Wash with a swinging punch to the side of the head. It looks like Nurmagomedov is going to stand back up.
