#R1# Szafraniec tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Melbi counter with a right hand. Szafraniec shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Melbi sprawls well. Melbi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Szafraniec gets slowly back to his feet.#TD2# Szafraniec manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Melbi on his heels. He'll look to pass Melbi's guard now, I'm sure. Szafraniec really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Melbi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Melbi throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
#SUB# Melbi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Szafraniec defends it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Melbi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Szafraniec's guard. #REVR# Szafraniec has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Melbi has passed into side control.

Melbi scores with a spinning back kick! Szafraniec looks winded! Melbi moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Szafraniec looks to score with a jab to the body but Melbi is just out of range. Melbi is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Melbi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Szafraniec's head. Melbi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Melbi. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Melbi rushes Szafraniec with punches - Szafraniec moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Szafraniec goes down! Melbi follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kubacki as he avoids it easily. Johnson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kubacki is out of range and Johnson settles back down. It appears Kubacki was looking to counter with a kick there.#CL2# Johnson rushes Kubacki and presses him up against the cage. Kubacki tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kubacki is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Mikolaj Kubacki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Johnson. Kubacki fails to pull the fight into his guard.
