De Fleur half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Yoshihiro Takayama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takayama lands a jab to De Fleur's midsection. A jab from Takayama finds it's way through De Fleur's defenses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takayama cracks De Fleur with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. De Fleur's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Bootay is trying to control the position from the bottom.
De Fleur not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. De Fleur loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. De Fleur tries to pass to full mount but Bootay defends it. De Fleur slips a nice elbow through Bootay's hands, connecting with Bootay's forehead. De Fleur is figuring out what he wants to do next. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. De Fleur looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bootay with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. De Fleur controlling the action here. #T2# The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. De Fleur lands a nice short elbow. De Fleur slows the pace down in half guard. Bootay has hold of De Fleur's hands but De Fleur slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. De Fleur working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bootay really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. De Fleur connects with a nice short shot to Bootay's temple. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! De Fleur is looking to advance position but Bootay won't allow it. De Fleur has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. De Fleur perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. De Fleur lands strikes from half guard.#ROC2#Bootay is rocked! De Fleur is nestled in close to Bootay, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Oh Bootay is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! De Fleur working over Bootay with some ground and pound. Bootay looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. De Fleur with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Bootay is breathing heavily.#T3# Ground and pound from De Fleur. De Fleur lands a big elbow - Bootay is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! Summers lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.#CL2# Chester tries to keep at a distance but Summers has taken the fight into the clinch. Chester has Summers pushed against the cage. Summers is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. #BC2# Summers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Asskren avoids a wild elbow strike from Campbell. With the fighters up against the cage, Campbell throws an elbow but misses. Asskren blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Asskren letting Campbell take a breather here. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Asskren. The referee calls for Campbell to work.

Campbell stands up over Asskren, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Campbell stopping the sweep attempt from Asskren. Campbell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Asskren on the ground. Asskren looks winded!#T3# Campbell is stalling in the full guard. Campbell looking to pass the guard. Campbell trying to control but Asskren is working from the bottom. Campbell looking to sit in guard and control but Asskren gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVB# Asskren preventing the sweep. #T4# Campbell controlling the position. Campbell continues to stall. Campbell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Campbell keeping moving, preventing Asskren from controlling successfully. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

#TD2# and Poole counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Poole. Poole wants to control from the top but Christ keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poole tries to free his leg and advance position but Christ is retaining full guard. Christ keeping moving, preventing Poole from controlling successfully. Poole might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Christ haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
