Carpenter moves forwards but Acosta connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Acosta takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Acosta swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Carpenter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Carpenter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Carpenter jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Carpenter swings for the body but Acosta moves out of range.
Carpenter fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carpenter stuns Acosta with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Acosta misses with a looping right.
Carpenter lands a nice looking body shot.
Carpenter misses with a straight left.
Acosta went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.#T1#
Acosta throws a lazy right hand but Carpenter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Acosta moves out of range as Carpenter strikes.

Carpenter tries to score with a low kick but Acosta moves his leg out of the way.
It looked like Acosta was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Carpenter.
Acosta thuds a left hand into Carpenter's body.
Acosta with a nice cross.
Carpenter shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Carpenter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Acosta.
Acosta swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Acosta moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.#T2##KD2#
Carpenter sends Acosta crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Carpenter is motioning to the referee to let Acosta up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#ROC2#Acosta is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carpenter knocks out Acosta with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Carpenter before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Carpenter picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Leandro Carpenter!

Serrano misses with a wild combination.
Duffy looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Duffy scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Duffy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Serrano lands with a nice body kick.
Duffy misses the shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A low kick lands for Serrano.
Duffy falls off balance throwing a combination
and Serrano connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.#CUT#It looks like Charles Duffy has been cut.
Duffy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.#T1#
Some bone on bone action there as Duffy checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Serrano feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Duffy sprawling to the canvas! Duffy rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Serrano finish him?! #ROC#Duffy is rocked!
BAM! Serrano delivers a spinning backfist that drops Duffy like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Spinning Backfist). Pierce Serrano!

Acosta gets caught flat footed, as Fezzik shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Acosta can't keep his opponent in guard - Fezzik advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB#
Fezzik is trying a forearm choke� I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Acosta tries to kick Fezzik off but Fezzik keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. #SUB#
Fezzik is trying for a kimura here. Acosta looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Fezzik wins by kimura!

Kaiser forces Garza back against the cage and clinches.
Kaiser scores with a shot to the side of Garza's head.
Kaiser lands a body punch.
Kaiser is trying to drag Garza to the mat but Garza just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kaiser has Garza pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Garza manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. #TD#
Kaiser gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Garza is looking to stand back up but Kaiser counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Garza. #REVB#
Kaiser thows a huge punch but Garza dodges it nicely.
Garza tries to kick Kaiser off but Kaiser keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kaiser working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kaiser in particular looking to stall.

Kaiser lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Garza quite badly. Garza pulls Kaiser in close trying to recover. Kaiser postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Garza on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Garza doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malakai Kaiser!

Acosta rushes Bernard and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.#TD#
Acosta has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bernard regains guard immediately.
Bernard working a defensive guard but Acosta passes into half guard.
Bernard wants to improve his position but Acosta is controlling well.
Acosta wants to take a breather but Bernard is having none of it.
Bernard tries to get to full guard but Acosta has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Acosta is controlling the pace.

Bernard wants to control but Acosta is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bernard keeps control of the position for the meantime.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bernard can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Bernard might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Acosta haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.#REF3#

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Acosta tries to clinch but Bernard moves out of range.
Bernard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Acosta was well out of range. Poor timing from Bernard.

Acosta closes the distance and clinches up with Bernard, looking for a takedown. Acosta pushes Bernard against the cage but Bernard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Acosta is breathing heavily.
Bernard throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Acosta colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Bernard as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Acosta is left battered and dazed whilst Bernard and his camp cheer!
