Jones is looking to break free of the clinch but Odom has double underhooks. Jones tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Odom working Jones over with knees to the body. Jones replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Barker blocks it well. Jones connects with a high kick. #CL# Barker instigates a clinch. #BC# Barker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
#CL# Barker closes the distance and clinches. #TD# Barker gets a trip takedown into half guard. Nice strikes from Barker there. Jones avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Barker. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barker is figuring out what he wants to do next. Barker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. #T1##SUB# Barker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jones is taking a breather. Valiev says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Valiev avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones. Jones landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valiev is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots. Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jones thows a huge punch but Valiev dodges it nicely.
