He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Eubankk has his hands clasped together but Calderon extends and breaks Eubankk's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Calderon.

#R1##TD# Povetkkin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Boom's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boom has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Boom keeping moving, preventing Povetkkin from controlling successfully. Boom managing to control the position. Povetkkin is looking to pass into half guard but Boom pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Boom is in guard.#REVB# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boom's corner is telling him to maintain position. Boom postures up and lands a big shot to Povetkkin's brow. #SUB2# Boom thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. #T1# Povetkkin wants to sweep here but Boom controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Povetkkin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boom defends it easily. Boom makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Almeida manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Almeida has had enough of the clinch but Eubankk keeps him there for the moment. Almeida misses with the head strike.
Eubankk scores with an uppercut up the middle. Chris Eubankk seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Almeida is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Poli tries to get to full guard but Takyan has control of the leg. #SUB# Poli actively working from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poli regains full guard. Nicely done. #T1# Takyan won't allow Poli to sweep him here. Poli manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Takyan manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR# Poli is stalling in the full guard. #SU# Poli gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. #TD# Poli drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Takyan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Poli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Poli is trying to get an arm triangle but Takyan is defending well. #T2# Poli controlling from side mount. Poli tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Poli scores with a couple of short elbows.#T3# Takyan seems a little lost for a moment, as Poli dominates the positioning. Poli seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Takyan for as long as he can get away with. Takyan parries the strikes from Poli easily there. Poli is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Takyan to escape.

A nice right hand lands inside from Martinusic. Martinusic throws a punch but it's blocked by Povetkin. Martinusic lands a right hand that snaps the head of Povetkin backwards. Martinusic misses with a short punch on the inside. Povetkin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Martinusic pulls his leg out and moves away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Povetkin. #CL# Martinusic clinches up against the cage. Povetkin is looking to take this one to the mat. Tonci Martinusic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Poliyuz Povetkin. Povetkin blocks an uppercut.
