A head kick from Mak lands but Newman takes it in his stride. Mak misses with a body kick. Newman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. #TD2# and Wilcox counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wilcox wants to pass the guard but Khumbo Iii is defending well. Khumbo Iii is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wilcox controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khumbo Iii trying to control from the bottom.

Horrible takedown attempt by Coleman or perhaps it was just good defense by Mak, which made it look bad. An attempted straight right counter from Mak misses the target. Mak is looking to clinch.
