Challinor looks for a takedown but Garcia sprawls well. Garcia is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Garcia throws a head kick that misses #TD# and Challinor counters with a shoot takedown. Garcia fights it but they end up in guard. Challinor slips nicely into half guard. Garcia is trying to stand back up but Challinor is controlling him
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Challinor thows a huge punch but Garcia dodges it nicely.

Challinor has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Challinor seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Garcia with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Challinor lands with a punch from half guard. Garcia is trying to stand up here but Challinor is controlling him well. Challinor stalling. Garcia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Challinor. Challinor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Challinor won't allow Garcia to get back to his feet. #T4# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Challinor not doing a lot at the moment. John lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! John celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
