Adesanya tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bacon swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bacon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Adesanya pinned against the cage. Adesanya gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bacon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Adesanya sprawls well. Adesanya wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bacon gets slowly back to his feet. Bacon circles away from the clinch attempt.

Tao Lai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Lai with a nice cross. Dee on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Dmitriev cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#CUT#It looks like Mac Anudo has been cut. Anudo throws a leg kick but Dmitriev moved away. A little feinted left hand from Dmitriev on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Dmitriev has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight. Anudo has a takedown stuffed. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anudo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Anudo tries to score with a low kick but Dmitriev moves his leg out of the way. A quick step to the side and Dmitriev tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.#T1# Anudo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dmitriev throws a hook but Anudo blocks it. Anudo shapes to counter with a head kick. Anudo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dmitriev moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dmitriev feinted there with a counter leg kick. Anudo scores with a leg kick.

Tree makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Tree throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Liamotti blocks it with crossed arms. Tree with a knee to the head.

One throws a head punch that misses. One is trying to push Tree away but Tree has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Tree lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of One backwards. Tree stalls. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. One is pushing Tree up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Tree keeps control of One as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Tree tries to work over One's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. #T1# Tree scores with an uppercut up the middle. Tree digs a right hand underneath One's ribcage. Four throws a body punch but Two moves out of range. A swing and a miss from Four. Two keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Four throws a jab when Two was well out of range. It seemed like Two was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Two takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Four throws a looping overhand right but Two ducks down to avoid it. A countering left hand to the body from Two misses. Ement controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ement is looking to work some ground and pound but Tree has wrist control. Ement postures up in Tree's guard and throws a big left but Tree blocks it. Ement controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #T1# Let's hope that Ement has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ement shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tree but Tree pushes him off and we're back to square one. A nice leg kick lands there from Ement. Tree fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ement manages to avoid it. Ement buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD# Two drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oje regains half guard, as Two was trying to land strikes. Oje is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Two's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Two's back! Oje somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Oje avoiding Two 's attempts to control his hands. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Oje has eaten all the pies! Oje doesn't have the hooks in and Two manages to turn into his guard.
Two with a flurry of punches that miss. Oje keeping moving, preventing Two from controlling successfully. Oje controlling Two's posture. Two postures up and lands a big shot to Oje's brow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Oje looking to control.
Oje is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Two is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. #T1# Two trying to control the position from guard on top but Oje is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Two gets to his feet and stands over Oje, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Oje felt that one! Two unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body punch from Tree. #TD2# Tree tries to sprawl but Johnson drives through with a takedown into half guard.#ES# Tree kicks Johnson off and gets back to his feet. Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Tree sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. #CL2# Tree gets tackled into the cage by Johnson. Johnson maintains the clinch. Johnson has a couple of punches blocked by Tree.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A hook to the body from Tree.
Johnson looks winded! A nice right hand lands inside from Tree. Tree keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Johnson's efforts to push away. Tree lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Tree lands with a short head shot on the inside. Tree using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
The referee calls for Tree to work.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tree creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. #T1# Tree throws a big uppercut that drops Johnson! More strikes from Tree and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Johnson lies dazed against the cage as Tree celebrates with his cornermen!

#TD2# and James decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pisk's guard. James content to stall in guard here. #SUB2# James is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. #SUB2# James thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. James is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# James drops back looking for a leg! Pisk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pisk manages to kick James off! James jumps back into Pisk's guard. James slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.#T1##SUB2# James has an Americana. Pisk didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! James is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if James hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
