Perez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kevin is trying to control Perez's posture but Perez avoids it.
Kevin trying to remain calm as Perez controls from the top position.
Kevin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Perez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perez throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Perez is working to tighten his grip on Kevin's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kevin has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Perez is really squeezing tight and eventually Kevin passes out! Perez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
