As Reed tries to get set, Merritt tries to push him back and clinch up but Reed manages to avoid the attempt.#CL2#

Reed cracks the inside of Merritt's front leg.
Merritt tries to close the distance and clinch but Reed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Reed is looking to clinch.
No luck for Reed with that takedown attempt.
Merritt changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Merritt decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reed's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SU#

With the fighters up against the cage, Reed throws an elbow but misses.
Reed trying to control the position but instead, Merritt has worked for underhooks and has pushed Reed into the cage.
Reed's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. #TD#

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Merritt holds on and takes a little breather.

Reed is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Merritt throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Reed sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Reed is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Merritt has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Reed is looking to defend but Merritt has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Reed! Merritt pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Reed taps out and this one is all over!

Griffin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mike but Mike pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mike throws a big counter head kick but Griffin avoids it with no problem.
Griffin lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Griffin or perhaps it was just good defense by Mike, which made it look bad.
Mike throws a counter combo.#CL2#
Mike fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Griffin, pushing him back against the cage.#TD2#
Mike tightens his grip and picks Griffin up, before dumping him to the ground. Griffin manages to land in guard.
Mike must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mike slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Griffin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mike is one step ahead there. #SUB2#

Mike is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Griffin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mike has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Griffin has managed to get both his arms back between Mike's legs - danger averted.#T3#

Mike has his foot on Griffin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Griffin works his way back into a safe position though.
Mike throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mike can do anything to dispel that myth.
Griffin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Griffin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Oooh a lovely combination from Khoramov sends Montgomery down but not out. Khoramov dives into side control looking to finish. #ROC2#
Montgomery is rocked!#CUT2#
It looks like Ivan Montgomery has been cut.#SUB2#
Khoramov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Khoramov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Oh Montgomery is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Khoramov trying to control the action but Montgomery is working from the bottom.
Montgomery is trying to get back to half guard.
Khoramov cracks Montgomery with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Khoramov immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Montgomery is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Khoramov!
