Hobbs shoots for a double leg takedown but Borges sprawls well. He's pushed Hobbs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Borges has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pereira, as that shot connected.
Pereira lands with a hook. Borges tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. #CUT2#It looks like Cesar Borges has been cut.
Pereira is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pereira jabs Borges right on the nose. Borges blinks but takes it well.
Andre Pereira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Borges moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pereira has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Pereira cracks Borges with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
