Firpo loads up on a big right hand but Hall slips the punch.
Hall closes this distance looking for a takedown but Firpo circles away.
Alvin Firpo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hall moves into the clinch successfully.
Firpo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hall fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Firpo jabs Hall right on the nose. Hall blinks but takes it well.
Hall fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Firpo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hall tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Firpo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Firpo leaves Hall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Firpo catches Hall with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Hall takes one on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Firpo counters with a nice uppercut.

Gomez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gano manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Gomez seems to be working for a kimura but Gano defends the submission attempt.
Gano is holding on to half guard well.
Gano is refusing to be controlled, as Gomez sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gomez jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
