#R1# Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Wilkinson checks a low kick from Hopkins. Wilkinson tries a quick counter leg kick but Hopkins is wise to it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilkinson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Wilkinson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.#T1# Hopkins wants to slow Wilkinson down by chopping away at his legs. A leg kick checked by Hopkins. Hopkins tried to counter with a leg kick but Wilkinson avoided it. Wilkinson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hopkins checks it well. Hopkins throws a low kick, looking for Wilkinson's leg but Wilkinson calmly moves out of range. Wilkinson appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hopkins misses with a leg kick. Hopkins backing away here, and Wilkinson unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Wilkinson misses with a leg kick. Hopkins misses with a low kick. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hopkins throws a low kick but Wilkinson moves out of range easily.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryland Hopkins. Well Hopkins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
