#R1# Yahmenski doesn't manage to clinch there - Kiang circles away.
Kiang steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.#TD# Yahmenski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Yahmenski passes to side control. Yahmenski is staying tight to Kiang's torso, preventing him from escaping. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang is trying to control Yahmenski's posture but Yahmenski avoids it. #SUB# Yahmenski swings around for an armbar but Kiang sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Yahmenski's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# Yahmenski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Yahmenski pulls Kiang in close to prevent any damage. #SUB# Kiang has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Yahmenski to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kiang is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Yahmenski pulls down on the head and he's put Kiang to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Yahmir Yahmenski! |
