#R1##CL2# Fox rushes Safarian and presses him up against the cage.#BC# Safarian pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Safarian. No joy for Fox on that attempt. Safarian dodges the punch combination from Fox.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fox. Safarian fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fox is trying hard to land a takedown here. Safarian sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sascha Safarian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Fox.#CL# Safarian drives through and clinches with Fox against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A short body shot lands from Fox as the two fighters clinch.

Safarian wants to sweep here but Fox controlling him for the moment. Fox wants to pass the guard but Safarian is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Safarian manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fox manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR##SUB# Safarian has gone for a leg lock! Fox slips out almost immediately though and dives into Safarian's guard.#REVB##SU2# Fox gets to his feet. Safarian looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! #T2# Fox shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Safarian as he jumps to the side. Safarian slaps away a takedown attempt from Fox, before circling back to the center of the mat. Safarian was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.#TD2# Fox throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Safarian tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fox is in Safarian's guard. Safarian tries to land a sweep but no joy. #SUB# Safarian has his foot on Fox's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fox works his way back into a safe position though. Safarian is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Safarian is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.#T3# Safarian wants to stand but Fox is controlling the position. Fox trying to control but Safarian is working from the bottom. #SUB2# Fox drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fox jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Fox postures up.
Safarian looking for a sweep. Not yet Safarian, not yet. #T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Safarian pulls Fox in close to prevent any damage. Fox won't allow Safarian to sweep him here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.#CL2# Fox moves into the clinch successfully.
#BC2# Fox breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fox has a takedown stuffed. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#TD2# Fox closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Safarian to the mat! Safarian manages to get full guard. #ES# Safarian is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Fox presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sascha Safarian will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.#R2# Fox fails miserably with a takedown attempt.#CL2# Fox drives through and clinches with Safarian against the cage.

Safarian dives in for a single leg takedown but Fox sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Fox gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Safarian can't get the takedown.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Safarian wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Safarian tries to throw a body punch but Fox avoids it by throwing Safarian back against the cage. Fox wants to get back to striking at distance but Safarian won't allow it.

Fox is pulling down on Safarian's head to control his posture. Fox can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Safarian controls the pace.#T2# Safarian connects with a couple of short punches. Fox lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# Safarian trying to control the position.

Safarian misses with a takedown attempt - Fox sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. No luck for Safarian with that takedown attempt. Safarian on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Fox. Fox obviously looking to wear him down.
#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fox keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Safarian is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nice sprawl there from Fox as Safarian shoots in. Fox shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Safarian counters with a body kick. Fox thows a body kick. Safarian tries to catch it but that hurt him. Fox shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Safarian but Safarian pushes him off and we're back to square one. Fox is breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Safarian pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fox is looking for the big counter here. Fox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Safarian tried to counter with a leg kick but Fox avoided it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Fox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!#R3# Safarian stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Safarian wants it to stay on the feet. Fox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Safarian tries to avoid it but Fox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Safarian to the ground. Safarian escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sascha Safarian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Safarian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fox fails in his attempt to clinch. #TD# Fox gets caught flat footed, as Safarian shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Safarian stands up over Fox, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. #SU# Safarian stands and steps away. Fox gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Horrible takedown attempt by Safarian or perhaps it was just good defense by Fox, which made it look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fox is trying to drag Safarian to the mat but Safarian just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Safarian is trying to break free.#BC# Safarian breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #T3# A head kick misses from Fox. Fox goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Safarian fails to land the takedown. Fox stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fox wants it to stay on the feet. Fox steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Safarian. Safarian shoots in for a takedown but Fox shows good takedown defense. #TD# Safarian shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fox manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.#ES2# Fox pushes Safarian off and gets back to his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action! Safarian sitting and controlling from the half guard. Fox is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Frank Fox. Well Fox has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
