#R1# Rika misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rika shoots in but no luck this time. Gray displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rika. Dexter Gray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takanashi Rika. Rika fails with the takedown#CL# and Gray holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Rika has had enough of the clinch but Gray keeps him there for the moment.#BC# Gray escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick misses from Rika. Gray throws a big counter combination but Rika scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Gray shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rika napping and manages to drive through into side control!#ES2# Rika sneaks out the side door and pushes Gray away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rika shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gray sprawls well. Gray wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rika gets slowly back to his feet.#T1# Rika fails with a takedown attempt. #TD# Excellent takedown into side control there by Gray. Gray tries to move to mount but Rika blocks the move with his legs. Rika really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gray controls the position.#T2# Rika tries to buck Gray off but Gray is having none of it.#SUB# Gray wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rika, who protects the arm well. Gray has knee on belly and moves into mount. Gray looking to control and managing it successfully. Gray trying to control but he's not successful this time. Gray fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
#T3# Gray tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rika is trying desperately to improve position. Gray really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gray fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Rika takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Rika is looking to improve his position but Gray isn't that keen on the idea. Rika wants to control but Gray is having none of it.#T4# Gray controlling from mount. Rika in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Gray content just to control the position here. Gray with good strikes from the mount here! Gray controlling the position easily from mount. BOOM! Gray connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dexter Gray dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.#R2##TD# Gray drives through with a takedown into guard. Gray slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Gray content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Gray controlling from the top position. #SUB2# Rika working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gray doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gray manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rika tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gray controls from within his opponent's guard. #T1# Gray trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gray sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rika's guard. Gray seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rika is not content to let Gray control the position.#SU# Gray decides to return to a standing position. #T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.#CL# Gray has Rika up against the cage in a clinch.
A short right from Rika on the inside. #TD# Gray ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gray no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Gray pulls Rika in close to his closed guard and prevents Rika from doing any damage or advancing position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rika looking to sit in guard and control but Gray gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Rika is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.#ES2# Rika manages to escape and get back to his feet.
#T3# Gray avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gray tries to clinch but Rika is having none of it. Rika changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Rika tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gray paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rika blocks a head kick by Gray.

Gray gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Rika is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gray lets go of the hold and Rika can pop his arm back in it's socket.

#R1# Gray throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mash's waist but Mash gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gray off to one side. Gray gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mash. Gray shoots for a takedown but Mash saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gray tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Gray fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mash avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter Gray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice body punch from Mash. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A cross from Mash lands. Mash changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Gray takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
#T1# Gray shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mash but Mash pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mash displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gray. Mash getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Gray tries to clinch there but Mash circles away.
Gray on the wrong end of a nice jab. Gray shoots and misses and Mash counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gray thinking. Gray scores with a three punch combo!

Gray with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mash to score with a decent uppercut.#T2# This has been an exciting period of action! Gray doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.#CL# Gray closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mash softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Mash lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Mash's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. A short uppercut from Mash. Mash stops a takedown attempt from Gray.
Mash lands a hook that snaps the head of Gray backwards. Mash throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Grays head. #BC# Gray pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mash smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.#ROC2#Gray is rocked! Mash cracks Gray with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Gray tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Mash pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Gray is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
