#R1# Vaughan wants to clinch. Balic looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.#CL2# Balic instigates a clinch. Vaughan lands a damaging elbow. Balic working hard to break the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Balic's face as he tries to break the clinch. Vaughan pressing his opponent against the cage. #BC2# Balic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Vaughan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.#CL2# Balic clinches up with Vaughan and pushes him back against the cage. Vaughan misses with a hook from the clinch. Vaughan taking a breather. #T1##BC2# Balic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Vaughan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Balic sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Vaughan moves forwards but Balic connects with a nice, crisp jab. The fight stays on the outside here - Vaughan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Balic tries to counter with a clinch but Vaughan shakes him off and moves away. Vaughan tries to clinch but Balic moves out of range. Vaughan doesn't manage to clinch there - Balic circles away.

Balic looks to land a combination. Vaughan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Vaughan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Balic swivels and escapes. Vaughan moves out of range of the body kick. Balic tries to bum rush Vaughan with a series of wild strikes but Vaughan uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Balic swats away the attempt to clinch by Vaughan. Vaughan moves in looking to clinch but Balic pushes him off. Vaughan sets himself, and Balic steps forward looking for the clinch! Vaughan avoids it this time. Vaughan tries to close the distance and clinch but Balic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Balic wants to counter with a clinch but Vaughan pushes him away. Balic jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
#T2# Balic lands with a cross. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Balic lands a body shot.

Balic steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Vaughan. A decent looking cross lands there for Balic. Balic scores with a jab to the head.
Prince Vaughan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vaughan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Balic swats him away and circles back towards the center. Balic's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Balic duly obliges. Balic misses with a double jab.
Vaughan moves in looking to clinch but Balic pushes him off. Vaughan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Vaughan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. #CL2# Balic gets in close and instigates a clinch. Vaughan tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
#TD2# Vaughan is fighting off a takedown attempt but Balic is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Vaughan to the mat. Vaughan regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.#SU2# Balic decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A jab from Balic does it's job there.#T3# Balic connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The fight stays on the outside here - Vaughan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vaughan has his takedown stuffed#CL2# and Balic counters into the clinch. Nicely done. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Prince Vaughan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vaughan is breathing heavily. Vaughan looking to slow down the pace here. Vaughan lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. #TD2# Balic gets a trip takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Balic drops an elbow to the side of Vaughan's head. Balic landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Vaughan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Balic on the ground.#SU2# Balic gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Vaughan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
#T4# Balic lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. This has been an exciting period of action! Balic fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.#CL# Vaughan moves into the clinch. Vaughan is trying to maintain a safe position but Balic gets an underhook and turns Vaughan into the cage. Balic working hard to break the clinch. Vaughan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Balic is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.#BC2# Balic manages to break the clinch.
#CL2# Balic gets a clinch. #TD2# Balic gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vaughan taking some punishment here, with Balic in his half guard. Balic takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.#SU2# Balic decides to stand and escape the position. Vaughan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nicky Balic dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!#R2# Vaughan shoots in looking for a takedown. Balic tries to sprawl out of it but Vaughan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Balic manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Vaughan walks into a jab. Nicky Balic seems to be getting the better of the standup. A solid body kick from Balic. #CL2# Balic clinches up with Vaughan and pushes him back against the cage. Vaughan is stalling here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#BC# The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Vaughan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Balic throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
#CL2# Balic gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Balic is trying to push Vaughan away but Vaughan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Vaughan using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Balic has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
#T1# Vaughan with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vaughan scores with a knee to the head.
Balic tries to break free but Vaughan pushes him back against the cage. Nice elbow from Vaughan. Balic is trying to break free. Vaughan throws a punch but it's blocked by Balic. #BC2# Balic manages to break the clinch.
Vaughan has his takedown stuffed#CL2# and Balic counters by clinching up. Balic wants to get back to striking at distance but Vaughan won't allow it.
Nicky Balic seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Balic looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Balic tries to break the clinch but Vaughan is controlling the position. #TD2# Balic has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Vaughan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The referee is taking a good look at Vaughan as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Balic!
#T2# The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#SUB2# Balic is working for a rear naked choke. Vaughan is not defending it well and Balic has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Vaughan refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Vaughan's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
