This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 3 losses; Edson Barboozer! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Pablo Cuevas! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, John Mangel and Francis DeMontford.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. The fight stays on the outside here - Barboozer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.#CL2# Cuevas clinches. Barboozer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cuevas is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Barboozer has Cuevas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cuevas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Cuevas prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edson Barboozer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barboozer is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cuevas pulls him back up using the underhooks. Barboozer wants a takedown but no success here.

The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Cuevas.#T1# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mckinney is struggling to control the position. Mckinney is trying to maintain a safe position but Cuevas gets an underhook and turns Mckinney into the ropes. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Mckinney taking a breather. Mckinney prevents a body shot from Cuevas. Cuevas tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Mckinney.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Marcus Mckinney. Mckinney moves in looking to clinch but Cuevas pushes him off.#CL2# Mckinney takes the fight into the clinch.
