Horrible takedown attempt by Escobar or perhaps it was just good defense by Carlson, which made it look bad.
Escobar is breathing heavily.
Escobar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carlson's waist but Carlson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Escobar off to one side.
Carlson connects with a single shot there.#CUT2#It looks like Ali Escobar has been cut.
An inside leg kick from Carlson misses.
Escobar appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Carlson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sloppy strikes from Carlson. Those never looked like landing.
Carlson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Escobar's head.

BOOM! Carlson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Escobar. Escobar tries to recover but Carlson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Escobar lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

and Carlson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Carlson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
