Oh Ximenes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ximenes working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kriss. Ximenes seems to have got his legs back now. Kriss trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ximenes is in a tricky position. #R1# A left and a right from Zapata both land. Nice combination. #TD# Ximenes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ximenes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Zapata is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ximenes has just dragged him back down to the mat. Ximenes remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Ximenes is working Zapata over with some ground and pound from side control. Zapata is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ximenes is controlling him well. Ximenes is staying tight to Zapata's torso, preventing him from escaping. Ximenes working the ground and pound. Ximenes lands a nice forearm strike.
