Moreno shoots in for a takedown but Knight shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Moreno tries to clinch up. No luck for Moreno with that takedown attempt. Knight shoots in but no luck this time. #TD# Knight shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Moreno trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knight is controlling the pace.

#R1##TD# Knight scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Knight works to advance to full mount. Flynn defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Knight fails to take his opponent's back. #SUB# Knight is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Flynn is forced to tap! Great finish!

#R1# Knight walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Knight has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gepte. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Knight. Gepte misses with a combination

Gepte won't be happy with that. #SUB2# Knight is trying to get an arm triangle but Gepte is defending well. #SUB2# Knight wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gepte, who protects the arm well. Gepte is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Knight is controlling him well.#T1# Knight has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Gepte! Knight content just to control the position here. Knight tries to control but Gepte wriggling away. Knight controlling the position easily from mount. Gepte squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

After the fight, Chad Gepte was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |
