#R1# Powers lands a jab to Acosta's midsection. Acosta looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Powers dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Powers lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Acosta at a distance.
Powers dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Acosta takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Powers ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Powers comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Powers thuds a left hand into Acosta's body. Powers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Acosta stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Acosta on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Powers digs a good hook to Acosta's body.

Powers cracks a nice hook into Acosta's ribs. Powers throws a series of punches but Acosta avoids them all with ease. Acosta went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Acosta definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Powers lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Acosta at a distance.
#T1# Powers stuns Acosta with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Acosta takes a shot right to the bread basket. Powers scores with a jab to the head.
A shot to the liver by Powers. Beautiful body shot. Powers scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Acosta doesn't seem bothered though. Powers throws a series of punches but Acosta moves out of range. Powers cracks Acosta's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Acosta slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Powers can do further damage! This one is done, son!

#R1##CL# Acosta rushes Bernard and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.#TD# Acosta has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bernard regains guard immediately. Bernard working a defensive guard but Acosta passes into half guard.
Bernard wants to improve his position but Acosta is controlling well.
Acosta wants to take a breather but Bernard is having none of it. Bernard tries to get to full guard but Acosta has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Acosta is controlling the pace.

#T1# Acosta sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bernard defending well though. Bernard wants to control but Acosta is keeping busy and won't allow it. Bernard keeps control of the position for the meantime. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bernard can do anything to dispel that myth. Bernard is trying to control but can't.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Bernard might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Acosta haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Acosta tries to clinch but Bernard moves out of range. Bernard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Acosta was well out of range. Poor timing from Bernard. Bernard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Acosta closes the distance and clinches up with Bernard, looking for a takedown. Acosta pushes Bernard against the cage but Bernard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Acosta is breathing heavily. Bernard throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Acosta colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Bernard as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Acosta is left battered and dazed whilst Bernard and his camp cheer!

#R1# Acosta with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Watson to score with a decent uppercut.#CL# Acosta has closed the distance and engaged Watson in a clinch.
#BC# Acosta breaks the clinch.
Watson slaps away a takedown attempt from Acosta, before circling back to the center of the mat. Watson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Watson digs a good body shot into Acosta's ribs. Acosta is breathing heavily. Watson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Acosta. Watson moves into range and connects with a jab. #TD2# Acosta gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. This has been an exciting period of action!#SUB# Acosta has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Watson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Acosta. Watson takes a little break here. Acosta wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.#T1# Acosta can't do much from the bottom here. Acosta stops Watson from passing to mount. #SU2# Watson stands up and we're back to a striking position. Watson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Watson throws out a powerful jab. Watson thuds his right hand into Acosta's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Acosta misses with a takedown and Watson counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
