Cruz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cruz controls from within his opponent's guard. Cruz trying to control but Macias is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Macias looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Cruz passes into side control.

Abraham Macias seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Macias throws a right and a left that both miss. Macias fails to land the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cruz leaves Macias with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cruz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Schreckenbauer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Macias blocks a head kick by Schreckenbauer.
Schreckenbauer lands a jab-cross combination. Macias shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Schreckenbauer sprawls well. Schreckenbauer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Macias gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# Schreckenbauer moves into the clinch successfully.
Macias is trying to pull guard but Schreckenbauer turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abraham Macias. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T1##BC2# Schreckenbauer breaks the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Schreckenbauer. Schreckenbauer shoots in looking for a takedown. Macias tries to sprawl out of it but Schreckenbauer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Macias manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Macias fails to land the takedown. Schreckenbauer moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Schreckenbauer shoots for a takedown but Macias saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.#T2# Schreckenbauer shoots in but Macias avoids the takedown attempt easily. Schreckenbauer tries to clinch #TD# and Macias decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Schreckenbauer's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schreckenbauer tries to pull guard but Macias won't allow it.

#R1# Martin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Martin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Macias swats him away and circles back towards the center. Macias keeps the fight on the outside. Macias defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Martin.#TD# Macias closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Martin's guard. Macias passes Martin's left leg - he's now in half guard. Martin flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
#SUB# Macias is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Macias in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Martin tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Macias!
