We've been hearing reports that Grobbelaar has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Saavedra throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Saavedra with a nice calf kick. Fabian Saavedra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saavedra lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Saavedra throws a series of strikes that have Grobbelaar backpedaling.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Bharat swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Grobbelaar. Grobbelaar looks to clinch and Bharat counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Grobbelaar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Grobbelaar misses with a head kick.
A little jabbing left from Bharat on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Bharat has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Grobbelaar is landing a low percentage of strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grobbelaar throws the left hand but Bharat avoids the punch easily. Grobbelaar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. The crowd cheers as Grobbelaar lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bharat doesn't seem phased though. Grobbelaar throws a chopping leg kick but Rios manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Rios takes a swing at Grobbelaar's ribcage but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rios lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Grobbelaar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Grobbelaar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rios. Grobbelaar wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Rios takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.#T1# A jab from Grobbelaar finds it's way through Rios's defenses. A thudding body kick lands there by Grobbelaar!
