Horrible takedown attempt by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Sims, which made it look bad.
Sims changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Diaz scores with a nice strike.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miras Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown. Sims tries to sprawl out of it but Diaz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sims manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sims gets to his feet and stands over Kimber, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Kimber felt that one! Sims unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Kimber from any more punishment!
