Riddle tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dowd's elbow. Riddle lands a shoulder strike. #CUT#It looks like Waylon Dowd has been cut. A short right from Riddle. Riddle lands a body punch in the clinch. A right hook to the body lands for Riddle.
Riddle lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dowd backwards. Riddle prevents a takedown attempt there.
Riddle works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riddle lands with a short shot to the head. Dowd blocking some punches.
Dowd goes for a takedown attempt but Riddle pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

#R1##TD2# Dowd decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Rangathan has one foot on Dowd's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Rangathan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dowd paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rangathan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dowd as he avoids it easily. Rangathan shoots in for a double leg but Dowd sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A little jabbing left from Dowd on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.#TD2# Dowd drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action!#SUB# Rangathan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rangathan has momentary wrist control but Dowd slips an elbow through the middle. Rangathan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dowd controls the pace. Dowd must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dowd lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dowd connects with a couple of short punches. Dowd keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rangathan's head. Dowd content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Dowd landing some decent shots from guard. Rangathan wants to control but Dowd is keeping busy.

Dowd looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Oh Rangathan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dowd lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Rangathan quite badly. Rangathan pulls Dowd in close trying to recover. Dowd postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Rangathan on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Rangathan doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Waylon Dowd! Waylon Dowd spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. Vinod Rangathan was interviewed post fight and said 'WHICH LATINA WANTS TO FUCK ME TONIGHT'. |
