#CL# and Khammadov counters by moving into the clinch. #TD# Khammadov gets control of Walters's arms and successfully pulls guard. Khammadov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walters won't allow Khammadov to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walters forces his way into half guard. Walters passes the guard and advances to mount! Khammadov can't escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khammadov holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Walters tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Walters has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Khammadov is trying desperately to improve position. Walters landing strikes from the mount and Khammadov is in trouble! Walters thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Khammadov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walters on the ground. Khammadov tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Walters presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! #SUB2# Walters quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Walters but it's paid off an Khammadov is forced to tap! Nice work by Walters.
