Brandon Laurel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trevon Mcdowell.

Laurel is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mcdowell is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Laurel to the mat. Laurel regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Mcdowell looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Laurel can't hide his disappointment, as Mcdowell celebrates the victory.

Laurel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
