#R1# Beast wants to clinch but Massey slips to the side and Massey counters with a series of strikes. Beast will be more careful next time no doubt. Massey blocks a jab. Beast closes this distance looking for a takedown but Massey circles away. Massey lands a nice looking body shot.
Massey misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Beast throws a sloppy head kick #KD# and Massey counters with a crisp right hand that drops Beast! Massey lets Beast back up to his feet, looking for a finish!#ROC#Beast is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Massey misses with a two punch combination.
Beast with the counter takedown but Massey avoids it easily. Beast is still on wobbly legs! Can Massey finish him? Beast throws a lazy right hand but Massey sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Beast takes a swing at Massey's ribcage but misses. Beast seems to have recovered his senses. A jab from Massey misses. Beast throws the left hand but Massey avoids the punch easily. Massey stuffs the takedown attempt from Beast. Beast gets slowly back to his feet. #T1# Massey ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Massey is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Beast hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

#R1# Beast misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Salman.
A head kick misses from Salman. Salman fails to land the takedown. Salman throws a head kick but Beast moves out of range.
It looked like Beast was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Salman moves out of range of the body kick. Salman shoots in but no luck this time. Salman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Beast swats him away and circles back towards the center. Horrible takedown attempt by Salman or perhaps it was just good defense by Beast, which made it look bad. Gabe Beast has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Fatih Salman. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL# Beast clinches. Salman's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.#BC# Beast escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
#T1##TD# Beast shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Beast was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Beast misses with the ground and pound. Beast staying calm. Salman is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Salman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Beast has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#SU# Beast stands up. #T2##CL# Beast gets in close and instigates a clinch. Salman can't break the clinch.
#TD# Beast has clasped his hands together around Salman's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!#SUB# Beast has hold of Salman's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Salman tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Beast cranks the arm and Salman screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Salman, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

#TD2# Maynard fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Beast sprawls well initially but Maynard persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Maynard is thwarting Beast's attempts to control the position. Maynard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beast. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Beast tries to get to full guard but Maynard has control of the leg. The fighters are battling for position here. Beast manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Maynard stops Beast from standing up. Beast can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Maynard controls the pace. It looks like Maynard might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Maynard postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Beast is in big trouble!
