Ripken lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Ripken cracks Kogan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Ripken throws a head kick that Kogan semi-blocks.
Ho Kogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kogan cracks Ripken on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Ripken falls backwards against the cage. Kogan follows up with more strikes that drop Ripken to his knees. Kogan keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Ripken! This one is all over!

It looked like Toney wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.#KD2# Ripken drops Toney with a beautiful combination! Ripken throws a big shot that misses.#CL2# Nanook rushes Ripken and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A short left from Ripken. Nanook wants to break free but Ripken has control.

Cal Ripken has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Turok Nanook. Ripken has a couple of punches blocked by Nanook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ripken lands a hook to the side of the head. Ripken scores with a shoulder strike. Nanook has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ripken after a bit of a struggle. Ripken is pressed up against the cage. Nanook has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ripken down to the mat. Ripken avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Turok Nanook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nanook slips under a jab from Ripken. Nanook shoots in looking for a takedown but Ripken manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nanook's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.#T1# Ripken thuds a left hand into Nanook's body. Ripken tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nanook feints the counter takedown. Nanook gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Ripken counter with a right hand. Ripken missing with a left hand there. Nanook was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ripken definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A slow jab from Ripken misses its intended target. Ripken throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ripken showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nanook.

Ripken walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.#CUT#It looks like Cal Ripken has been cut. Ghuruwa seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.#KD# Oh, that's a big right hand from Ghuruwa and Ripken goes tumbling to the canvas! Ghuruwa follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard. #ROC#Ripken is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ghuruwa lands a big elbow - Ripken is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Ghuruwa!

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ripken slips a straight right by Nova. Ripken appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Nova misses with a left hand letting Ripken counter with a right hand. Ripken uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nova. Ripken uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Nova has time to react. Nova avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A punch combination from Ripken misses. Nova takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
