#R1# Li will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. No luck with that takedown attempt from Li. Bowman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bowman wants it to stay on the feet. A little jabbing left from Bowman on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aiguo Li. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bowman misses with a low kick as Li jumps back. Bowman misses with a straight left. Bowman's coach down at Tap Out Tuesday was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bowman's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Li shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bowman defends it nicely. Li shoots in looking for a takedown. Bowman tries to sprawl out of it but Li keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Bowman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Li closes the distance and clinches up with Bowman, looking for a takedown. Li pushes Bowman against the ropes but Bowman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bowman throws a hook to the side of Li's head but Li sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Li fails with the takedown and Bowman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bowman tries to avoid it but Li manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bowman to the ground. Bowman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Li blocks a head kick by Bowman.

Bowman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Li darts in looking for a takedown but Bowman gets double underhooks and turns Li into the ropes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Li has Bowman pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Bowman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bowman misses with a hook to the ribs.

Li has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bowman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bowman. The crowd are loving this. Li looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Goodwin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Li is nestled in close to Goodwin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Li scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Goodwin on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Goodwin manages to get to full guard.

#R1# Li swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Li swings and misses with a shot to the body and Spence counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Li is lucky that one didn't land flush. Li moves out of range of the strikes. Li looks to land a left hand but Spence moved out of range nicely. Li misses with a combination

#ROC2#Li is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action!#SU2# Spence stands up from Li's guard - Spence perhaps looking for a knockout. Oh Li is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Spence lands a right hook to the body.
Li gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Spence points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Li wakes up just in time to hear Spence thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Sandman throws a jab when Li was well out of range. Li throws a right and a left that Sandman avoids nicely. Li lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Li swings for the body but Sandman moves out of range.
Sandman stuns Li with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sandman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

#R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Schmitt shoots in but no luck this time. #TD2# Schmitt shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Li manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Schmitt won't allow Li to sweep him here. Schmitt wants to control from the top but Li keeps moving. Schmitt stopping the sweep attempt from Li. Schmitt must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schmitt told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Schmitt's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Schmitt working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. #SUB# Li looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Schmitt is defending well. Li quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Schmitt has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Riggs is not content to let Li control the position. Li lands some shots froms side control.#T1# Li lands a nice forearm strike. You can see the frustration on Riggs's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Li working his ground and pound in the gym.
