#R1# Werner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Matekane circles away quickly and effectively. Matekane wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.#CL# Matekane closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Matekane is pushing Werner up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Werner tries to break the clinch but Matekane is controlling the position. Matekane definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Werner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Matekane tries to work over Werner's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Matekane is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Matekane tries for a takedown but Werner manages to get underhooks.

Matekane keeps control of Werner as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Matekane digs a right hand underneath Werner's ribcage. Werner let out a lung full of air as it connected. Matekane tries a body shot but Werner blocks it.
Werner is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Werner is trying to push Matekane away but Matekane has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Matekane lands a nice uppercut.#TD# Werner is fighting off a takedown attempt but Matekane is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Werner to the mat. Werner regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Matekane is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Matekane scoring with some ground and pound. Matekane lets go of the hold and Werner can pop his arm back in it's socket.

#R1# Werner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tsarukyan circles away quickly and effectively. Tsarukyan changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. A punch combination from Werner misses. Werner throws a left and a right that both miss
#TD# and Tsarukyan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Werner's guard. Tsarukyan throws a big elbow that misses. Tsarukyan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tsarukyan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Werner works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tsarukyan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Werner swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tsarukyan is looking to work some ground and pound but Werner has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tsarukyan wants to pass the guard but Werner is keeping the position. Tsarukyan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Werner throws a series of punches but Tsarukyan moves out of range. Werner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
#T2##TD# Tsarukyan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Werner can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tsarukyan controls the pace. Tsarukyan is pushing down on Werner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Werner is fighting to maintain full guard but Tsarukyan has managed to sneak the leg through. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tsarukyan lands a nice short elbow. Tsarukyan not landing any meaningful shots this time. Tsarukyan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Tsarukyan passes to full mount! Tsarukyan lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Werner hang on?#T3# Tsarukyan controlling from the full mount. Tsarukyan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tsarukyan landing punches. A nice elbow there by Tsarukyan. Tsarukyan connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Tsarukyan tries to control but Werner wriggling away. Tsarukyan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
#T4# This has been an exciting period of action! Tsarukyan with a couple of short strikes. Tsarukyan with shots to the head and body - Werner looks very uncomfortable down there. Tsarukyan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Werner is looking to escape. Tsarukyan scoring with strikes but Werner is staying in there. Werner is in a horrible position here. Tsarukyan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Werner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tsarukyan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tsarukyan raining down hammerfists from mount. Tsarukyan lands a nice shot to the head. Tsarukyan landing punches. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Werner looks to land a combination but Erthegg avoids it well. No joy there for Werner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

#R1# Werner pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Santana back to the ropes. Werner follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Sloppy strikes from Santana. Those never looked like landing. Werner lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
#KD2# Werner sends Santana crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Werner is motioning to the referee to let Santana up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#ROC2#Santana is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Santana throws a body shot but no joy. Oh Santana is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Santana really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Werner has cracked Santana with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Werner lands another huge swinging hook and Santana tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Santana, before Werner can land any more shots!
