A good leg kick by Richman. Richman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Richman jabs Melendez right on the nose. Melendez blinks but takes it well. Richman lands a leg kick that knocks Melendez off balance momentarily. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Richman - that will leave a mark!
The fighters circle momentarily. Richman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Melendez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Both fighters circling a little - Richman finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Melendez tries to move into range but Richman moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Richman is looking to slow Melendez down with leg kicks. Richman throws a nice outside leg kick. Richman buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Richman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Richman connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Richman connects with a leg kick. Richman has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Melendez has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Richman. Richman lands with a hook. Melendez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Melendez is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Richman connects with a leg kick. Richman misses with a two punch combination.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Melendez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

And that's the end of the fight! Richard Richman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Richman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mowala throws a leg kick but Melendez moved away. Melendez looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Mowala wants to clinch but Melendez slips to the side and Melendez counters with a nice body shot. Mowala with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Melendez to counter with a crisp jab. #CUT2#It looks like Jumanji Mowala has been cut. Melendez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mowala moves away. Mowala fails with a takedown attempt. Melendez throws out a counter right but Mowala avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jumanji Mowala. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mowala avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Mowala throws a right and a left that Melendez avoids nicely. Mowala shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Melendez defends it nicely. Mowala is working away from the top position though. Mowala trying to mount his opponent but Melendez defends it. Mowala looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.#SUB# Mowala is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Melendez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. Melendez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lucero's guard.#REVR##SUB2# Lucero has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Melendez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Melendez passes Lucero's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Melendez keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Lucero wants to get back to full guard.#SUB2# Lucero looking for submissions from an awkward position here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lucero is looking to regain full guard. Melendez seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Melendez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Melendez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The fight stays on the outside here - Barren looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Barren throws a push kick but Melendez slaps the foot to one side. Barren closes the distance but Melendez moves to the side and Melendez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Melendez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Barren has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
