#R1# Sato lands with an overhand left. Sato lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sato avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sato scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Artusii misses the shot to the body. Artusii misses with an uppercut
and Sato counters with a lovely shot to the body. Artusii throws a hook but Sato blocks it. A shot to the liver by Sato. Beautiful body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sato moves out of range as Artusii strikes. Sato throws a big counter combination but Artusii scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Sato clobbers Artusii with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Sato darts in and out, connecting with a jab. #T1# Artusii throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sato counters with a straight right hand. Sato misses with a double jab.
A little jabbing left from Artusii on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Sato lands a jab to the head.
Artusii takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sato ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Artusii misses with an uppercut. A quick step to the side and Sato tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Artusii misses with a hook
and Sato counters with a lovely straight right hand! Sato wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sato lands with a nice body punch. #T2# Sato ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sato defending well as Artusii loads up on a big left hand. Sato listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sato lands a nice hook to Artusii's body. Artusii takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Sato ducks under a wild hook from Artusii. It looked like Sato wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Artusii takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Artusii throws a hook to the side of Sato's head but Sato sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sato is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Artusii throws a poor cross that misses
and Sato counters with a right hand to the body. Sato lands with a cross. #T3# Artusii just misses with a punch to the body.
Artusii tries to move into range but Sato moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sato dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Sato misses with a looping right. Artusii looks like he wants to counter punch here. A swing and a miss from Artusii. Sato was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Artusii misses with a lunging right hand
and Sato counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A swing and a miss from Artusii. Artusii waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sato. Artusii is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Sato connects with a jab.#T4# Artusii misses with an uppercut
and Sato counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Sato lands a jab to the head.
Sato lands a right hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A jab from Sato does it's job there. Sato smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Sato misses with a right hand and Artusii counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sato cracks Artusii with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Sato will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Akira Sato dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!#R2# Artusii throws a sloppy body shot
and Sato counters with a nice uppercut. Sato throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Artusii to counter with a crisp jab. Sato misses with a straight right. Artusii steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sato. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Artusii! But no joy. Artusii scores with a sloppy right hand. Sato should have avoided that one. Artusii rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
#KD# and Sato counters with a crisp one two that drops Artusii! Sato thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Artusii to his feet! Artusii is in big trouble!#ROC#Artusii is rocked! Artusii loses concentration momentarily and Sato pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Artusii crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Sato finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

#R1# Artusii lands a jab to McDonald's midsection. McDonald throws a right and a left that both miss. McDonald get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. McDonald stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Artusii runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gordon Artusii! Gordon Artusii really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Ma Balls Is Hot Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. |

#R1# Ackermann shoots and misses and Artusii counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ackermann's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Artusii connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ackermann scrambles back to his feet. Ackermann fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ackermann goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Ackermann tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ackermann is breathing heavily. Ackermann tries for a takedown but Artusii sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Ackermann. That's going to take a lot out of him. Artusii lands with a right hand. #KD2# Artusii feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ackermann sprawling to the canvas! Ackermann rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Artusii finish him?!
#ROC2#Ackermann is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Artusii lands a nice shot to the body.
Oh Ackermann is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Artusii dances in with a quick combination. Ackermann is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Artusii snaps Ackermann's head back. Ackermann stumbles backwards against the cage. Artusii steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Ackermann's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Ackermann just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gordon Artusii! A relieved looking Gordon Artusii thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
