Nesse misses with a takedown and McGarvey counters with a straight punch to the midsection. McGarvey throws a wild combination but nothing lands. McGarvey throws a right and a left that Nesse avoids nicely. Horrible takedown attempt by Nesse or perhaps it was just good defense by McGarvey, which made it look bad. McGarvey throws a counter combo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL# Nesse has closed the distance and engaged McGarvey in a clinch.

Kesse Nesse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nesse shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McGarvey defends it nicely. The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sadulayev looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sadulayev! #REVB# Sadulayev lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Nesse is looking to regain half guard here but Sadulayev keeps moving and retains side control.
