Tavernelli has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Allen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tavernelli moves away. Tavernelli throws a big shot that misses. Keanu Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tavernelli is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Allen. Tavernelli uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Allen has time to react. Allen on the wrong end of a nice hook. Allen avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Allen with the inside leg kick. Tavernelli looks to land a combination. Allen sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Allen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tavernelli. The fighters circle momentarily. Tavernelli ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tavernelli attempts a counter takedown but Tetra avoids it well and moves away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee warns Imanaga that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
A big strike lands for Tavernelli! That's really hurt Imanaga and he's turned his back - Tavernelli keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Tavernelli jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
