#R1##TD2# Captain shoots in for a takedown and gets it.#SUB# Stephens is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Captain pulls his head out easily. #SUB# Stephens looking for submissions off his back.#SUB2# Captain is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Captain is looking to advance position but Stephens won't allow it. Captain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Captain is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Captain scoring with strikes to the body and head. #SUB# Stephens looking for submissions off his back.#SU2# Captain decides to stand up. #T1##CL2# Captain gets in close and instigates a clinch. Stephens jumps guard but Captain turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. #BC2# Captain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #CL2# Captain clinches. #TD2# Captain turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Captain manages to end up in side control. Stephens tries to improve position but can't. Captain is chipping away with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T2# Captain takes a little break here. Stephens wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Stephens is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.#SU2# Captain decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Stephens slips a jab and a cross from Captain.
#CL2# Captain moves into the clinch successfully.
Stephens jumps guard but Captain stands there with Stephens around his waist. Stephens gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Stephens tries to pull guard but Captain won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Armando Stephens. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T3##TD2# Captain gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.#SUB2# Captain seems to be working for a kimura but Stephens defends the submission attempt. Captain perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Stephens tries to roll over but Captain keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SU2# Captain decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Captain throws a head kick that misses. Stephens drops down looking for a counter takedown but Captain sprawls and moves away. Captain looks winded!#TD2# Captain shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stephens is trying to defend but Captain finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.#SU2# Captain stands up out of the half guard. #T4##CL2# Captain has closed the distance and engaged Stephens in a clinch.
Captain working hard to break the clinch.#TD2# Stephens is fighting off a takedown attempt but Captain is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Stephens to the mat. Stephens regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.#SUB# Stephens looking for a triangle here. Captain is fighting it but it looks tight! Stephens pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Captain is tapping out - this one is all over!
