It looked like Rambo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Man shoots in and drives through. Rambo sprawls well.#CL#

Man managing to block the knees to the body from Rambo.
Rambo tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Man fails to pull guard.
Rambo landing some nice looking knees to the body.

John Rambo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Middle Man.

A low kick from Rambo is predictable there
and Man counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rambo throws a jab but it's blocked by Man.
Man has a takedown stuffed.
Rambo scoring well with a low kick there.
Rambo lands with a nice body kick.
Rambo with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rambo catches Man with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Man doesn't manage to clinch there - Rambo circles away.
Man needs to keep his hands up - Rambo had a free shot at his head there.
Rambo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.#KD#
Rambo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Man sprawling to the canvas! Man rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rambo finish him?!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rambo walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Man drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Rambo swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Man's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Rambo!
A very excited looking John Rambo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jones is taking a breather. Man says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Man's temple.

Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Man with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jones has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Man defend it? Jones steps over the head and cranks it - Man is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jones!

Man shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Outie is trying to defend but Man finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Outie tries to kick Man off in order to stand up. Man Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Man working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Man has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That was a close round but I would say that Middle Man will probably get the nod.

Outie has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Man is really squeezing tight and eventually Outie passes out! Man breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
