Salamies shoots in looking for a takedown. Penn tries to sprawl out of it but Salamies keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Penn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Penn leaves Salamies with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Salamies tries for a takedown but Penn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Salamanteri Salamies. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Salamies dives in and grabs Penn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Penn pushes down on Salamies's head and hops out.

Slivers scores with a hook to the body. Penn takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Slivers lands with a hook. Penn tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jab from Slivers.
Penn's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Slivers connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Penn scrambles back to his feet.
Slivers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Penn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Penn takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Donk. Slivers catches Penn right on the button with a cross.
Slivers ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#TD2#
Penn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Slivers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.#SUB2#
Penn is working to tighten his grip on Slivers's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Slivers has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Penn is really squeezing tight and eventually Slivers passes out! Penn breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
