Shawty has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though.

Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Meril misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shawty.
Shawty appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well Meril has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Chandler drives through with a takedown into guard.
Chandler postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Shawty pulls Chandler in close to his closed guard and prevents Chandler from doing any damage or advancing position.
Chandler trying to control the position from guard on top but Shawty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Chandler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Shawty works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Shawty is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB#

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Shawty working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
