Khan shoots in for a takedown but Ryan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ryan lands with a good body shot.
Khan misses with a hook
and Ryan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ryan stuffs the takedown attempt from Khan. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
Ryan stuns Khan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Khan is breathing heavily.
Ryan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Khan misses with a double jab
and Ryan counters with a straight right hand.
Nice jab there from Ryan.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ryan, as that shot connected.
Ryan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ryan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Khan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ryan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Ryan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Ryan digs a good hook to Khan's body.
Oh Khan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ryan drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Khan right on the button. Khan goes down! Ryan follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Ryan gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Ryan!
After winning the bout, Jack Ryan thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. |

Blood stuffs the takedown attempt from Khan. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
A shot to the body from Khan misses
and Khan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Blood keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Khan moves away from the strike by Blood.
Blood cracks Khan with a right hand to the side of the head.
Khan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Khan feints the counter takedown.
Sloppy strikes from Blood. Those never looked like landing.
Blood connects with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blood takes a swing at Khan's ribcage but misses.
Blood ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Khan moves away.
Blood lands a jab to Khan's midsection.
Khan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blood but Blood pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Blood was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Captain Blood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ilias Khan.#T1#
Blood pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Khan back to the cage. Blood follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Blood getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Blood changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khan tries to avoid it but Blood manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khan to the ground. Khan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Khan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Khan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Blood counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Khan looks winded!
Khan is looking to land body kicks.
Khan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Blood.
Khan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blood paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blood tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Khan was well out of range. Poor timing from Blood.#T2#
Khan drops his hands momentarily and Blood takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Blood tries to bum rush Khan with a series of wild strikes but Khan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jab by Blood.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Khan walks into a jab.
Khan misses with a head kick.
Blood lands a nice looking body shot.
Blood fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Khan on the side of the head.
Blood lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.#ROC#Khan is rocked!
Blood sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Khan's defenses. It connects perfectly with Khan's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Captain Blood!
A relieved looking Captain Blood thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
