Scarface lands a left and a right that send Manners crashing to the mat, dazed. Scarface thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#CUT#It looks like Vitoco Manners has been cut.
Scarface throws a front kick aimed at Manners's knee but Manners avoids it well.
Manners changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Manners looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Scarface is fending him off so far but Manners persists. Nope, Scarface circles away and we're back to standing.
Manners tries to clinch but Scarface is having none of it.
Scarface thows a left - swing and a miss!
A decent looking cross lands there for Scarface.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Scarface keeps the fight on the outside.
Manners has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Manners is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Manners fails with an attempt to clinch.
Manners tries to clinch but Scarface is having none of it.
Manners tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Scarface swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Manners dodges the punch combination from Scarface.
Scarface throws a low kick but Manners avoids it.
Scarface drops his hands momentarily and Manners takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Manners shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Scarface sprawls well. Scarface wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Manners gets slowly back to his feet.
Scarface swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Manners.#T1#
Manners walks straight into a right hand from Scarface - that's dropped him! Scarface jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Manners from any more punishment! Manners complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tony Scarface!
Tony Scarface was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. |

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kenard thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Manners's head.
Manners tries to kick Kenard off but Kenard keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Manners is trying to stand up here but Kenard is controlling him well.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Kenard is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Manners can't fight it off and eventually Kenard manages to take the fight to the floor. Manners looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kenard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kenard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. #T1#
